Manthan Research & Development Society works alongside Himalayan communities to strengthen livelihoods, build skills and turn locally identified priorities into practical action.
We begin by listening. We spend time understanding people, places, challenges and existing strengths before shaping any project. Communities are not treated as beneficiaries of our work — they are active partners in every stage of it.
By bringing together local knowledge, participation, training and long-term partnerships, we help communities build solutions that are relevant to their lives and can be sustained locally.
Our purpose is not to lead change on behalf of communities. It is to support people with the confidence, capacity and systems they need to lead change themselves.
