Community Action
Growing greener communities, together.
A community-led environmental activity bringing village residents, children and local participation together in Bangar Valley.
The Activity
A day of coming together.
The idea was simple: bring people together and spend time caring for the places around them.
Manthan recently invited a Forest Officer to Bangar Valley, where village residents and children came together for a tree plantation activity. The day later continued with a cleanliness drive involving young children from the community.
Small actions, when shared, can become a meaningful part of community life.
Tree Plantation
Planting together, caring for what comes next.
Children and village residents joined the plantation activity, putting their hands into the soil and planting trees together.
The day created a simple opportunity to connect children with the natural surroundings they grow up around.
Planting was the action.
Caring for the place was the larger idea.
Cleanliness Activity
Learning to care for the places around us.
After the plantation activity, the day continued with a cleanliness drive involving young children.
Together, they spent time cleaning the spaces around their community — a simple exercise connecting everyday habits with care for the local environment.
For children, sometimes the most lasting lessons begin by doing something themselves.

The People Make the Action
Community is built through participation.
For Manthan, community development is not only about creating projects.
It is also about creating opportunities for people to come together, participate and take shared responsibility for the places they call home.
In Bangar Valley, this day was one such moment — simple, local and shared.
Local action.
Shared responsibility.
A greener future for the valley.
Community-led change grows through everyday participation.
